As announced, the time has come. We're in the middle of the rollercoaster and heading for the megaloop. The Ullr is sending squadron after squadron of damp, mild and cool air from the west towards the Alps and it's rattling around. There is a ray of hope in terms of the snow line, because this time it should look better in the Alps than last time. So maybe less puking and more fun on our wild ride!

After a somewhat surprising interim alert in the north, which also brought alarms, we're now off to Ullr Leisure Land and on a wild rollercoaster ride of alarms in the north-west, which will probably last until the end of the first week of January. And as is the way with rollercoasters, we'll all be wavering between cheering and throwing up. When it goes down, we cheer and when the snow line goes up, we feel bad...

It's getting warmer and everyone fears the worst, but Ullr comes back on stage with verve and roars: ARE YOU READY? If you don't know the allusion from the metal mockumentary "This is Spinal Tap", you're in luck:

Ullr is slowly saying goodbye to our beloved pattern of the weekend trough, but first sends his best wishes to the Eastern Alps!

No, I haven't seen the new Star Wars yet, but our all-time favorite movie called "Best early winter in ages" is going into the next round. It's 150-300% of the long-term average on the northern slope of the Swiss Alps and the rest of the northern slope of the Alps isn't doing too badly either. And it continues here until Monday!

After Episode VII, "Ullr's Awakening with Power" in the West, now comes the sequel to the box office hit "PowderAlert" in almost the same regions. It continues the pattern of this winter, the "weekend trough". All weekend warriors will be particularly pleased and no one else will be complaining about a weekly supply of powder in the meter range. It will be a colorful action firework like the new Star Wars movie! (For anyone who is still wondering what I'm talking about here...)

As announced, the alerts continue seamlessly. It has started to snow in the west with the warm front and this will spread to the south. Ullr doesn't do things by halves, because the whole thing will be enormous and produce a massive blanket of snow in the south from a standing start. This will probably be the heaviest dump of the winter so far, but it will be warm and accompanied by foehn storms in the north. However, the amounts will be in the newspaper reporting range. #snowpocalyspenow!

Ullr apparently wants to make this December unforgettable and sends one dump after the other. No end in sight in the coming week! It will get warmer from time to time, but the snow will keep falling down to below 1000m, so from 1000-1200m there should actually be a positive total. The next alert comes on Sunday, but more on that in the medium term.

And like a ninja, he sneaks out of the shadows into the weather maps and turns inconspicuous amounts into a veritable alarm. The Oracle didn't take a close look and Zack hit Ullr, because the untrained eye is easily fooled by a ninja alert that looked like less than 30cm on the maps from the weekend. It was only because the Oracle happened to look at the radar that he realized something was going on.

Similar to the last Bundesliga alarm, Ullr continues undeterred and brings us powder in painter mode. Because there are no isolated, brilliant mega-dumps from an eccentric artist god, but honest work, precisely for fans of the middle part of the Bundesliga who value consistency and regularity. And just as the skilled worker brings home a reliable pay packet every week, Ullr brings us our weekly refresh.

It's that time again, a new alarm is sounding. The oracle is not moping and the medium-term prospects are not bad either. All better than the last few years. If Ullr were a Bundesliga team, they wouldn't be on their way to the Champions League this year, but they wouldn't be on their way to their 4th relegation in a row either. A healthy midfield somewhere between 8th and 12th place would probably be the appropriate analogy for this winter.
