PowderAlert 10 2022/23 | As long as the fat Ullr still sings...
03/25/2023 • Lars Oelmann
This winter has been tedious, but at least something is happening again in March. Ullr really hasn't made it easy for us this year. Little snow, warmth, weak layers and so on. But spring is shaping up to be at least halfway decent. Another dump in March that's worth seeing and this time brings snow for everyone! -

PowderAlert 9 2022 /23 | Less roulette, more powder
03/13/2023 • Lars Oelmann
The alarm comes with a massive line of thunderstorms and will bring some powder to the Alps again. This time with less densely packed warm and cold air masses, which made things quite complicated last week: Saturday the west lost out on the powder roulette table and the north won, Sunday it was the other way around. -

PowderAlert 8 2022 /23 | Westwinteralert
03/09/2023 • Lars Oelmann
As announced, the snowfall continues seamlessly. Surprisingly, the snow line for this alarm is lower than feared at times. Ullr likes us after all! A strong westerly flow is also dumping a lot of snow, but no Californian records are in danger. -

PowderAlert 7 20022/23 | Winter sales weeks!
03/07/2023 • Lars Oelmann
It's that time again! The end-of-winter powder hunt begins these days and Ullr is spinning the snowfall limit roulette while turning on the precipitation hose at the same time. -

PowderAlert 6 2022/23 | Strangely peculiar Piedmont
02/26/2023 • Lars Oelmann
The situation is bleak. The oracle has currently underestimated the volumes in the foothills of the Alps, because it would actually have been enough to sound the alarm this weekend in the foothills of the Alps (5km in, but not in the Alps), but we don't want to miss the next alarm. However, it is far, far away from where the Mon Cherie cherry is grown. And only there. -

PowderAlert 5 2022/23 | Last exit, Austria!
01/31/2023 • Lars OelmannThe alarming title sounds like an arthouse adaptation of an Elfriede Jelinek book and evokes associations with chamber plays in which beer-bellied men in Burgenland struggle with their fate in dark pubs. -

PowderAlert 4 2022 /23 | On the hunt for the average
01/14/2023 • Lars OelmannIn this alarm you can almost finally ski like in a normal season! Joy! The only downside: unfortunately only in Lower Valais and France. -

PowderAlert 3 2022/23 | Restart in January
01/08/2023 • Lars OelmannThis could be a great season if there is already so much snow in October. Oh wait.... The amount of CRs on PowderGuide makes the sad situation clear. Below 2220m there is virtually nothing and above that we are at 30-60% of the long-term average. -

PowderAlert 2 2022/23 | Dump or shower?
12/22/2022 • Lars Oelmann
This freeride year is starting like the old one ended. Tough and with little snow. And Christmas brings little relief, because true to the motto "champagne or seltzer", seltzer or a shower is the order of the day for most of us. It rains all the way up and the almost non-existent snow cover continues to thaw. In the high mountains, the converted scrap is covered with drift snow. Fantastic views.... not! -

PowderAlert 1 2022/23 | 3, 2, 1, Lift off!
12/02/2022 • Lars OelmannHouston, we have a dump. It's season 22/23, and the PowderGuide spaceship is exploring the endless expanses of the Alps in search of the infinite depths of powder. With this first alarm, we set off on what we hope will be a long and deep season in which Ullr will give us many gifts. -

PowderAlert 15 2021/22 | The Final Countdown?
04/06/2022 • Lars OelmannUllr wants to give it another go before most ski resorts slowly but surely close after Easter. And with the best 80s synthesizer fanfares, he bravely boxes on like Rocky in the big showdown, knowing full well that his time has actually come. -

03/30/2022 • Lars Oelmann
