Is it perhaps the last alarm? It's snowing, but only in the high mountains. The last few weeks have seen a few flakes here and there, but not large amounts all at once. At least the March temperatures have remained bearable in contrast to the last few years. But spring is here, even here in Alaska, where one temperature record after another is being broken and we are now going on spring tours for the last few days.

The play continues and artistic director Ullr wants to extend the season of the extremely successful play "Märzwinter". The little man from the street, who is always asked about this in TV interviews, doesn't think it's so great, but we're looking forward to a little compensation for the miserable start to the powder season.

As in a theater play, the coming snowfall is divided into several acts that actually belong together, as there are only minimal breaks between the precipitation.

Most people have already seen it: The maps are getting more colorful, the crowds more massive, the ski internet is going crazy. It's southern traffic jam time.

The good news first: there's enough for an alert until Sunday. But it will be very warm after the snowfall and the limit will also rise during the snowfall, so you'll have to get up high on Sunday if you want to find powder in the northern Alps.

Just as the book describes the cruel everyday life of war, this alarm describes the wonderful everyday life in the west of the Alps that Ullr brings to all locals and travelers for the weekend.

As an oracle, you have to seek the divine and so I'm sitting at the end of the road in Valais just before the French border, waiting for Ullr's new powder revelation. The alert is valid until Wednesday.

Live from the Valais, I can tell you that Alarm 8 was actually very nice. Three days of powder and, surprisingly, three days of sunshine later, it's now alarm nine, which is valid until Monday, when alarm 10 should appear.

The snow from the last alarm came and went. The waxing and waning of Alert 7 is over and the rain slurry is now freezing to the new base, where it hasn't been washed away. And it's going to get a surprisingly nice pack of snow by Friday.

Unlike Godzilla, who is from Japan and stands for the saying "It came from Japan", I took the opposite route and made my way to the land of the rising sun. Why Nippon? Not because of the sushi, but to beat our rather disappointing winter and ride some deep powder.

As happy as you are to have beer, you just don't enjoy stale beer. It's the same with this alarm. It may be snowing, but it quickly gets so warm that you can't enjoy it.

The time has come, it's finally snowing really fluffy powder, unfortunately most of it again for those who are already blessed with it from Ullr.
